Why Choose Us?

What sets us apart from other hearing practices is that our audiologists understand the personal effects of hearing loss. We understand what it's like to wear hearing aids every day. We work with you to find an individualized treatment plan that is customized to your unique hearing needs. We've been helping patients hear better for over 29 years! We also have the ability to work with multiple hearing aid manufacturers, allowing us to better fit you with the right hearing aid. Our knowledgeable and compassionate staff will help you experience better hearing.

Our audiologists are extremely knowledgeable about hearing aid technology and the different manufacturers. They stay up-to-date on each manufacturer’s devices. Dr. Hobson even tests the new hearing aid technology on herself because of her hearing loss. At Helping U Hear, we will never just try to sell you hearing aids, we genuinely want to help you experience better hearing and understand your overall hearing health.

Your First Appointment

Helping U Hear office interior

When you come in for your first appointment you will be greeted by our friendly front staff. They will go over any paperwork you need to fill out and help you feel comfortable while you wait. Our office isn’t cold and clinical, instead it has a homey atmosphere. We encourage you to bring a friend or family member with you to your appointment. Having someone with you can help you feel at ease as well as help us understand what you’re having trouble hearing.

  1. We begin the appointment by having you fill out a brief survey/questionnaire so we can understand your listening environments and what brought you in. This helps us understand what areas you are having trouble hearing in.
  2. After a short conversation to get to know you, we will look inside your ears with an otoscope to check for any earwax build-up or ear infection. Once we've ensured your ears are clean, then we begin the hearing test.
  3. After your hearing test we will go over your results and explain them to you. We believe education is important, that’s why we will go over in detail the effects of your hearing loss.
  4. If hearing aids are recommended, then we will go over your options and our audiologists will make the recommendation based on your degree of hearing loss and unique needs.

Proud Partner of HearStrong

HearStrong at Helping U Hear

HearStrong was founded in 2013 with the goal of inspiring a mass hearing healthcare awareness movement. An estimated 48 million Americans experience hearing loss, and 80% of these individuals let it go unaddressed. This could be due to barriers such as social stigmas, financial difficulties, lack of awareness and resources, and more. In response to this need, HearStrong began recognizing and sharing the stories of remarkable people with hearing loss in an effort to empower and inspire others to take control of their hearing health. The HearStrong Foundation recognizes outstanding adults and children with hearing loss and gives them a platform to empower and serve others in need of hearing care. Learn more today!
